Al-Farooq Education and Community Centre (AFECC)

This character filled and local landmark opened its doors as 'Al-Farooq Education and Community Centre'.
This was a time when an unsettled, fledgling Muslim community urgently required a social and spiritual centre for gatherings, festivals, religious education and worship.

Significantly this joyous opening marked the beginning of Al-Farooq's neighbourly pursuits to act as an interface with the wider community, to help people improve their understanding of Islam and to contribute towards the betterment and prosperity of the people of Glasgow from all backgrounds.

Situated in the South Side of Glasgow in a thriving community that is diverse in ethnicity and rich in culture, the Masjid has firmly established itself as a leading Mosque in many activities, religious education and a place of worship.
