Masjid Umar

Masjid-e-Umar (Islamic Centre), formally known as Islami Darasgah was established in 1976. Masjid-e-Umar is the first Mosque in wales to be established by people from the Asian sub-continent.

​Masjid-e-Umar attendees are from various backgrounds and walks of life. All of them integrated and well respected by each other. Everyone is welcomed at Masjid-e-Umar with open arms.

Masjid-e-Umar runs a Maktab on the weekdays from 5pm - 7pm. The main focus of the Maktab is to teach the local children of our community about Islam, Fiqh, Seerah, Duas, Ettiquettes, Kalimah's and reading the Quraan with proper tajweed from a young age.
